ABSTRACT
The partial denture with metal framework is a removable metal-acrylic construction, that rebuilds damaged or missing teeth and soft tissues. Its characteristic feature is the reduction of the covering surface of the mucosa adequate to the number and arrangement of supporting elements. Commonly, the metal framework of removable denture is made using the casting technique and the lost wax method. The CAD / CAM technology, 3D printing and hybrid methods are becoming one of the basic instruments in the design and produce of prosthetic restorations. The attempts are made to apply these modern technologies also in the manufacture of removable partial denture with framework. The aim of this articles is to discuss the possibilities of using computer methods in the design and manufacturing metal framework of removable denture.
